The days…

I seem to be reminded time and time again lately that there is such an importance on making time to capture my personal memories.

Not just the special occasions but the real moments.
Of sisterhood between my girls, make believe, chalk hands, dress up, a dry yellow summer…

I can barely change out the photos in my home and our girls are already older. different. more amazing.

So just a reminder (myself included) to make the time (that no parent has enough of) to take those snap shots, those everyday moments that are happening way to fast. Because as the saying goes –

The days are long, but the years are short.

The Greatest Gifts…

Happy Father’s Day to my wonderful Father (Joe Gallese), who has given me the unmeasurable gifts of a strong work ethic and always seeing my glass as half full.

Ever since I encountered these beautiful words by Mother Teresa they have reminded me of him.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

Also a very Happy Father’s Day to my wonderful husband, Domenic. I am sure there is no way to ever say Thank You enough for the two most beautiful gifts I have ever received.

Beautiful girls…..beautiful husband…..beautiful dad……What can I say, Hilary? Are we blessed or what???? HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, DOM! We love you!!

and the Facebook Portrait Contest Winner is…

Nikkie Hockenberry’s sweet children Aidan and Bronte!

Nikkie will be receiving the grand prize – a full photo-shoot (with digital files!) and as a special gift from me, a beautiful 11×14 mounted standout image of her choice from the shoot. I have had the pleasure of photographing these two awesome kids in the past and I am already dreaming up our BEST SHOOT YET! These 3 have a lot of people loving them to get this many votes, I love them too -Big Congrats Nikkie!

This contest has had me (and many other people) on pins and needles so I am happy to announce that Brody will be winning a photo-shoot as well! Happy First Birthday Brody!

Yes, I am giving the winner AND the runner up a photo-shoot! It was just so close for awhile there that I feel it is deserved (well over 200 likes each!). I know I will just love spending time with these little ones!

As for my other awesome contestants they will all get 25% off a portrait session sitting fee if used within the next 6 months. This is substantial considering I have added a new portrait package option.:)

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that voted and entered in the contest. I have had a lot of great feedback on my work this week and lots of inquiries on portrait and wedding packages, so I am happy to announce that I have a new portrait package! Please take a minute to check out the site. Pretty sure you will recognize some beautiful and familiar faces! Looking forward to working with many of you in the near future!
