A Dream Come True – Where Women Create Magazine

Yes, the current issue of Where Woman Create is out and I could not be more excited and proud to see my photographs grace its pages!!! It features our astounding local talent of Tamara Stopinski of Tahlulah’s Fancy, Nancy Wiley, Amy Cohlburn and Mary Lynn Good of Goff Creek Pottery. I had the honor of meeting all these amazing artists at the Mad Hatter Event featured earlier this year on my blog. I also was honored to shoot the feature for Mary Lynn Good, the artist and genuis along with her husband Robert behind Goff Creek Pottery. It is an inspired location filled with whimsy. Check out the Mad Hatter article and stay tuned for a blog post on the lovely Goff Creek Pottery. The best part is that the magazines can be purchased at the fabulous Talulah’s Fancy and Friends located on 61 North Main Street in historic Honeoye Falls. If the magazine leaves you yearning for more, you are in luck because along with creator Jo Packman, a VERY special event is to be held on September 23rd to spark that inner artist and hear how these artist paved their orginal way to artistic success. Tickets are limited and lunch will be served by the satiable Rabbit Room Restaraunt so don’t delay in making your reservation to this inspiring event – I can’t wait to attend!

My children inspire me. No matter how crazy they make me, they always make me smile. And no matter how much I feel I need to improve as a mom, they always show me they know they are loved.

Nature inspires me the most. I am a fanatic about taking pictures of the sky. Clouds, sunsets (rarely sunrises, I am not an early morning person) and also landscape shots. My Facebook friends think I’m crazy! LOL. What amazes me the most about the sky is that thousands of years ago our ancestors looked to the sky and saw the same thing we see today. One of the few things that has changed over the many years.

Nature also inspires my graphic design work. Greens and browns are among my favorite colors to work with as well as leaves and flowers as graphic elements. I just strive to be as inspiring as nature itself! :)

History of all kinds, and brightly colored folk art of many different countries, inspire me. I especially love blending different folk art styles into something new. And whenever I have a creative block, I delve into an art history book (or museum) and never cease to find a new urge to create.

Our winner was randomly drawn and it is…Deb S!
Inspiration comes from so many different places for me personally and I can relate to each comment above. My kids are a huge source and certainly the clients and families I work with on a daily basis, getting to glimpse and share in people’s lives.
Thank you all so much for your awesome comments!
