Trisha and Craig’s Show-Stopping Wedding (& Cover Win!)

Congratulations to my show-stopping couple Trisha a Craig on their cover win for Rochester Bride and Groom Magazine! We would like to thank everyone that voted and supported us. Trisha and Craig were married at First Presbyterian Church in Canisteo with their reception at the beautiful Hornell Golf Club on September 15th. I asked Trisha a few questions many inquiring brides would want to know…

What was your wedding inspiration for your theme and colors?
Since all of my weddings always decorate with color, I wanted neutral. I think the more neutral the colors, the more elegant.

What was your favorite wedding splurges?
Invitations, table linens

What was your favorite wedding day moment?
When Craig and I got “alone time” with our pictures
(Favorite photo is the last photo on the blog)

Words of wisdom for future brides and grooms?
It’s your day but think of your guests and the “little details” make a big difference and go a long way! ***Most importantly be picky when selecting your vendors especially these 3…(photographer, dj, event planner) as they create the “image” and setting of your day.

Inspiration Incorporated!

Honored to have spent my Sunday amoung outstanding women artists and the Rabbit Room’s mouth watering cuisine. A huge personal highlight for me was meeting Jo Packman, the creator of Where Women Create and Where Women Cook Magazine! Guests were treated to Parisian Gnocchi Spoons and a beautiful meal of Talulah’s Fancy Frittata and fresh local arugula salad while enjoying welcoming words by Debbie Haefele and guest speakers Jo Packman and Lynn Allinger of Craft Company No.6. Ending the meal was floral cupcakes (even a decorating demo!) and the Rabbit Rooms signature cocktail. Featured artists at the event were Tamara Stopinski of Tahlulah’s Fancy, Nancy Wiley, Amy Colburn and Mary Lynn Good of Goff Creek Pottery, each donating an unreal door prize giveaway signature to their style and artwork! This is just a very small sampling of the inspiration overflowing from the day, you can get much more in the current issues of Where Women Cook and Where Women Create Magazine sold at Talulha’s Fancy and Friends located on the second floor of the Lower Mill (61 N. Main Street, Honeoye Falls).

A personal thank you to Jo Packman, Tamara, Alison & Andy for the awesome opportunity to be part of your continued success.

DREAM it. BELIEVE it. CREATE it.

Wow! What an amazing day! … Your photos are lovely!! I carried my camera all day- and only took 3! ;!

Tamara Stopinski - 09/24/2012 - 11:04 am

Hi Hilary…Thank you so much for the lovely post and also for more AMAZING photographs… YOU are truly an Inspiration and it was so wonderful that you could be part of this event! Much love, Tamara

A Dream Come True – Where Women Create Magazine

Yes, the current issue of Where Woman Create is out and I could not be more excited and proud to see my photographs grace its pages!!! It features our astounding local talent of Tamara Stopinski of Tahlulah’s Fancy, Nancy Wiley, Amy Cohlburn and Mary Lynn Good of Goff Creek Pottery. I had the honor of meeting all these amazing artists at the Mad Hatter Event featured earlier this year on my blog. I also was honored to shoot the feature for Mary Lynn Good, the artist and genuis along with her husband Robert behind Goff Creek Pottery. It is an inspired location filled with whimsy. Check out the Mad Hatter article and stay tuned for a blog post on the lovely Goff Creek Pottery. The best part is that the magazines can be purchased at the fabulous Talulah’s Fancy and Friends located on 61 North Main Street in historic Honeoye Falls. If the magazine leaves you yearning for more, you are in luck because along with creator Jo Packman, a VERY special event is to be held on September 23rd to spark that inner artist and hear how these artist paved their orginal way to artistic success. Tickets are limited and lunch will be served by the satiable Rabbit Room Restaraunt so don’t delay in making your reservation to this inspiring event – I can’t wait to attend!

My children inspire me. No matter how crazy they make me, they always make me smile. And no matter how much I feel I need to improve as a mom, they always show me they know they are loved.

Tina - 07/23/2012 - 5:52 pm

Nature inspires me the most. I am a fanatic about taking pictures of the sky. Clouds, sunsets (rarely sunrises, I am not an early morning person) and also landscape shots. My Facebook friends think I’m crazy! LOL. What amazes me the most about the sky is that thousands of years ago our ancestors looked to the sky and saw the same thing we see today. One of the few things that has changed over the many years.

Nature also inspires my graphic design work. Greens and browns are among my favorite colors to work with as well as leaves and flowers as graphic elements. I just strive to be as inspiring as nature itself! :)

What inspires me my Husband, Hilary (FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHER EVER) and my family!

Melissa - 07/24/2012 - 12:54 pm

History of all kinds, and brightly colored folk art of many different countries, inspire me. I especially love blending different folk art styles into something new. And whenever I have a creative block, I delve into an art history book (or museum) and never cease to find a new urge to create.

Nikkie - 07/27/2012 - 9:07 am

My son’s strength, my daughter’s boldness and creativity, a really good book, impressive photography, live music, a good yoga class, a nice bottle of wine, those perfect talks with your partner and sassy old women!!!!

deb stirone - 07/27/2012 - 4:05 pm

what inspires me?? SOOOO many things!! My kids inspire me everyday with how strong and resilent they can be in such a tough world…. but i think the most is sucessful women in a “man’s world”. all the women listed above are amazing, and the networking people i come in contact with, these days 85% are women…strong women who are “OH” so talented…beautiful works of art in sp many versions and happy to be in business and care about other women in business, looking to help in anyway to make them all sucessful together!

Hilary - 07/28/2012 - 7:26 am

Our winner was randomly drawn and it is…Deb S!
Inspiration comes from so many different places for me personally and I can relate to each comment above. My kids are a huge source and certainly the clients and families I work with on a daily basis, getting to glimpse and share in people’s lives.
Thank you all so much for your awesome comments!

M&M – Classic Romance with Maureen and Mark

I knew from our engagement shoot that Maureen and Mark would be an absolute JOY to work with on their wedding day, they look at each other with wide smiles that are completely contagious! Married at the Blessed Sacrament on Oxford with stunning programs by Bella Carta Studio (whom also did all the custom design items and invitations for the day), the beauty only continued onto one of my favorite places – the Rabbit Room at the Lower Mill, but not without a stop at the lovely falls and Deckman Oil (Mark’s 3 generation family business). From the church to the Rabbit Room The Topiary had taken over with breathtaking floral arrangements. Music filled the building by Rick Holland’s Uptown Society Orchestra and people of every age were on the dance floor well into the evening – a true family celebration of two amazing people that deserve all the happiness this beautiful life can offer. Congrats to you both, looking forward to many more milestones with the two of you!

It was a beautiful wedding and Hilary has captured every precious moment! Just beautiful!

*The Talent and Charm of Chloe!*

Talent and charm are not nearly enough to describe Chloe. Her mom had called me bit back and was looking to do something special to commemorate just how far Chloe has come in dance as well as her new leap into toe shoes. I knew from the start Chloe would be talented but I was absolutely captivated by her passion. Being a mother I know there is nothing more special than seeing your child soar and express themselves in a creative and positive way so I can only imagine how proud Corrina and Paul must be of their star!

Good Luck on your upcoming dance recital Chloe – I am sure you will shine!

Thank you so much for lending your talents to caputure this moment in Chloe’s life. The experience was so delightful (Chloe is still talking about it), and the images you captured of our little star are precious. Paul and I are so very proud of Chloe and her accomplishments. Now we have a beautiful library of photos to preserve this memory of what we predict will be the beginning of a dynamic career.
You are an AMAZING talent Hilary. We couldn’t of asked for anything more!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
